In 2016, Ethiopian Airlines Group unveiled a brand new, state-of-the-art Ethiopian Aviation Academy, marking a significant milestone in their Vision 2025 strategic roadmap. This massive project involved a huge investment to completely transform the academy into the largest and most advanced aviation training facility in Africa. Elmi Construction played a key role in bringing this vision to life, serving as the construction company behind the impressive new academy.

The newly constructed Ethiopian Aviation Academy boasts a sprawling campus with several dedicated buildings. The technical block houses both the Pilot Training School and the Aviation Maintenance Training School, while the commercial and leadership block offers designated spaces for the Inflight Services Training School, Commercial and Ground Services School, and Leadership School. In addition to these classroom buildings, the complex features a separate administration building, workshops, a large auditorium, a student dormitory, and a spacious cafeteria to accommodate the needs of students and staff.
