Soufflet Malt Ethiopia, a French company, completed construction of a new malt plant in Bole Lemi Industrial Park 2, Ethiopia in 2021. The plant, with a capacity of 100,000 metric tons of malt per year, was built on a 10-hectare plot. The construction was undertaken by Elmi Construction. This investment aimed to boost Ethiopia’s agricultural sector, create jobs, and reduce the country’s reliance on imported malt.
