The Turkana Building is a six-story mixed-use building built by Elmi Construction. It is located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and houses the headquarters of Elmi Olindo Contractors PLC, a leading firm in the field of construction. The building’s façade is a sculptural ribbon that wraps around the central core, creating a dynamic and playful sense of light and shadow. The first and second floors house the offices, with the façade detaching itself from the main core to create balconies that shield the building from solar radiation. On the two upper floors, where the guesthouse apartments are located, the ribbon loosens, stretching over the entire width of the building. This turnkey project features offices, two floors of dedicated apartments, and a beautiful terrace with elevator access. The modern and functional office spaces have plenty of natural light and state-of-the-art amenities.
