Located just 25 kilometers from the bustling capital city of Addis Ababa, the Coca-Cola factory in Sebeta boasts a rich history intertwined with the construction expertise of Elmi Construction. Construction on this mega-factory began in 2019 as part of a huge investment by Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) to amplify its Ethiopian presence. Elmi Construction, a turnkey contractor renowned for its expertise in complex projects, played a pivotal role in bringing this vision to life, handling every aspect of the factory’s creation. This entailed a comprehensive approach, from the initial design phase to the final construction and handover.

The factory, inaugurated in 2022, boasts a production capacity of 100 million bottles of beverages per year. This significant increase in production not only strengthens Coca-Cola’s presence in Ethiopia but also creates new job opportunities and contributes to the country’s economic growth.
