The Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 tragedy in March 2019 left a deep scar on the nation and the global community. To honor the 157 victims and provide a space for reflection and remembrance, a memorial is being constructed at the crash site near Bishoftu. This initiative will encompass a four-hectare park featuring a designated burial ground, a memorial space, and an outdoor amphitheater. Additionally, a new road will be built to provide easier access to the memorial site, ensuring a dignified and accessible space for families and visitors to pay their respects. This project serves not only as a tribute to the lost but also as a symbol of hope and healing for all those affected by this heartbreaking event.
